Job Description

We are looking for multiple project managers with Healthcare background. 

At least four years of experience on project teams for complex software development and implementation projects for Commercial Healthcare clients

  • Experience leading web development projects and heavy high level client interaction
  • Experience in a consulting practice working on projects for multiple clients
  • Payer-side healthcare experience a plus
  • Advanced degree and/or PMP certification preferred

Skills Set Requirements:  

  • "Real time" capture of high-level business requirements and process flows
  • Ability to capture clear, concise requirements from discussion & ask clarifying questions to ensure no redundant requirements or material omissions
  • Capture Action Items and perform follow-up to ensure timely closure by agreed upon deadlines
  • Drive & facilitate follow-up requirements gathering with ancillary areas or as identified by an Action Item
  • Must have demonstrated ability to ask probing or clarifying questions, challenge assumptions, current processes etc.
  • Must be comfortable working in front of a group, structuring high-level requirements with the value chain, decomposing discussion into clear requirements, identifying redundancies etc.
  • Must have strong to expert skills in Word, Excel, Visio and/or PowerPoint as will be using these tools to document requirements and process flows in a real-time manner
  • Must have strong -> excellent written & oral communication and presentation skills

Other Requirements:

  • Consulting experience is required, and Big 5 experience is strongly preferred
  • Excellent project management and process skills, sound methodology combined with effective time management ability
  • Project management and process skills should include an understanding (hands on experience is best) of different project methodologies (waterfall, agile, extreme, etc) and an understanding of the complete project lifecycle (e.g. requirements/analyze, design, build, test, deploy, maintain). Experience with software development life cycles (SDLC’s) would be a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent team building and management skills
  • Pro-active attitude and ability to take the initiative is essential
  • Ability to manage project expectations, client relations, vendor negotiations, internal feedback
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, while maintaining the flexibility to change task and project directional priorities
  • Outstanding problem solving/analytic capabilities 
  • Need to be able to work the details of managing a project (budget, planning, status reporting) but still be able to help with business development 
  • Strong client interaction skills to develop business with existing clients through relationship building and delivery 
  • Past experience with application development or package software installation a plus
